The Purelux Black X-Slim S1000 Gen2 is part of the manufacturer's updated Black X-Slim range, which brings top quality at an affordable price. The led bar has received both an external and internal facelift: the revised S1000 Gen2 version has been given a two-colour parking light (orange and white) and two different power modes, as well as an improved light pattern. The two different power modes allow the led bar to be used with a unique selection integrated in the user interface (see the "Power Mode" section). More below) to activate either the more moderate power mode for road use, or the more powerful PowerBoost® mode for off-road use. Already with the road-approved power mode, the S1000 Gen2 provides significantly more light output than the previous model, and when PowerBoost® mode is enabled, the measured light output from the led bar increases to up to 13794 lumens with an impressive measured range of 556 metres @ 1 lux.

Note: The difference between Purelux PowerBoost® and road mode is clearly visible in use - PowerBoost® mode is significantly more powerful and should not be used in normal road driving, only off-road.

The S1000 Gen2's headlamp combines exactly the elements you need on a winding, dark road: a clear, long-range beam in the centre of the headlamp, the so-called 'PowerBoost', is the only light source you'll ever need. In the centre of the spotlight is a clear, long-range main beam, with a wide beam extending laterally from both sides to illuminate the road from side to side, starting at the front. The beam has been flattened with revised reflectors to prevent light being lost to the front of the bow or into the treetops. The main difference between the curved and straight-body models is the width of the beam: the curved body spreads the beam horizontally wide, and the main central beam twice as wide as the straight model. Similarly, in the straight version, the entire light output of the main spot is directed straight ahead, thus maximising the range of the light. When comparing wedges, it is therefore advisable to choose the curved version when looking for a wide wedge and to improve overall visibility. If the car's own lights illuminate the first 50-100 metres well and you want to invest in more range, the straight model is the right choice. The colour temperature of the led bar is 5700 kelvin. In terms of size, the S1000 Gen2 is best suited for either roof-mounted or heavy-duty applications.

The light retains the slim and sleek design already evident in the name, with a black body and dark optics that give the bar a sleek and contemporary look. In Gen2, dark optics have now been introduced to the parking light, which means that the parking light bar at the bottom of the led bar only stands out when the parking light is on, making the light stylish both on and off. The Black X-Slim range features powder-coated, durable aluminium alloy frames and virtually unbreakable polycarbonate lenses, as well as IP69K rated lights that are fully water and dustproof. The bezel-free lens prevents snow, ice and dirt from accumulating in front of the lens, which means that the beam is less likely to become obscured while driving than with bezel-mounted auxiliary lights.

Installation is easy using the DTP-2 connector provided on the light's power cord, and the included width-adjustable lower legs and end feet provide a wide range of mounting options. The wide operating voltage range (9-32V) allows installation on both 12V and 24V systems. The luminaire is radio interference immunity according to ECE R10 standard. Two-year (24 months) warranty!

Changing the power mode with UI technology: the first time the lamp is used, it is lit in the E-approved mode. To change the power mode, turn the light off for 5 seconds, then turn the light on for 2 seconds, then turn the light off and on 3 times in 5 seconds to change the power mode. Repeat to change the power mode again.
