The Purelux Black X-Slim C520 Gen2 is part of the manufacturer's updated Black X-Slim range, which brings top quality at an affordable price. The panel has received both an external and internal facelift: the redesigned C520 Gen2 version has been given a two-colour parking light (orange and white) and two different power modes, as well as an improved light pattern. The two different power modes allow the panel to be used with a unique selection integrated in the user interface (see the new user interface). More below) to activate either the more moderate power mode for road use, or the more powerful PowerBoost® mode for off-road use. Already with the road-approved power mode, the C520 Gen2 offers almost half the measured light output of the previous model (4012 lm), and with theWhen PowerBoost® mode is engaged, the measured light output from the panel rises to as much as 6857 lumens with an impressive measured range of 419 metres @ 1 lux.

Note! Thedifference between Purelux PowerBoost® and road mode is clearly visible in use - PowerBoost® mode is significantly more powerful and should not be used in normal road driving, only off-road.

The C520 Gen2's headlamp combines exactly the elements you need on a winding, dark road: a clear, long-range beam in the centre of the headlamp, the so-called 'PowerBoost', is the only light source you'll find in the C520 Gen2. In the centre of the spotlight is a clear, long-range main beam, with a wide beam extending laterally from both sides to illuminate the road from side to side, starting at the front. The beam has been flattened with revised reflectors to prevent light being lost to the front of the bow or into the treetops. The main difference between the curved version and the straight-body model is the width of the beam: the curved body spreads the beam horizontally wide, with the main central beam about twice as wide as the straight model. Similarly, in the straight version, the entire light output of the main spot is directed straight ahead, thus maximising the range of the light. When comparing wedges, it is therefore advisable to choose the curved version when looking for a wide wedge and to improve overall visibility. If the car's own lights illuminate the first 50-100 metres well and you want to invest in more range, the straight model is the right choice. The colour temperature of the panel is 5700 kelvin. In terms of size, the C520 Gen2 is an excellent choice, for example, for the front of a passenger car in a traditional shield mounting or, for example, recessed in an air intake.

The light retains the slim and sleek design that is already evident in the name, with a black body and dark optics that give the panel a sleek and contemporary look. In Gen2, dark optics are now also introduced to the parking light, which means that the parking light bar at the bottom of the panel only stands out when the parking light is on, making the light stylish both on and off. The Black X-Slim range features powder-coated, durable aluminium alloy frames and virtually unbreakable polycarbonate lenses, as well as IP69K rated lights that are fully water and dustproof. The bezel-free lens prevents snow, ice and dirt from accumulating in front of the lens, which means that the beam is less likely to become obscured while driving than with bezel-mounted auxiliary lights.

Installation is easy using the DT-2 connector provided on the light's power cord, and the included width-adjustable lower legs and end feet provide a wide range of mounting options. The wide operating voltage range (9-32V) allows installation on both 12V and 24V systems. The luminaire is radio interference immunity according to ECE R10 standard. Two-year (24 months) warranty!

Note! You can buy the complete sets above either as they are OR you can also take the XBB OBD Dongle & PowerUnit connection relay (see product options), which allows the additional light to be connected to CAN-bus controlled lights as well. In short, the connection using this relay is carried out by inserting the control device (OBD Dongle) into the car's OBD-II port and replacing the PowerUnit relay with the original relay of the supplied wiring harness. The control device placed in the OBD port catches the high beam signal from the CAN bus and sends the information completely wirelessly to the relay in the wiring harness, which in turn controls the additional light according to this signal.

Changing the power mode with UI technology: the first time the lamp is used, it is lit in the E-approved mode. To change the power mode, turn the light off for 5 seconds, then turn the light on for 2 seconds, then turn the light off and on 3 times in 5 seconds to change the power mode. Repeat to change the power mode again.
