Nitecore Carbon Battery 12K is a replacement battery designed for Nitecore's NU45, NU53 and HC65 UHE headlamps. The battery is equipped with a capacity of up to 12,000 mAh, and with it the operating time of the aforementioned headlamps can be significantly extended, e.g. for longer hikes, runs or workdays. The battery comes with a flexible and breathable headband, which is directly compatible with the previously mentioned headlamps, so it is really easy to use! The battery is attached to the headband with a pre-integrated bracket on the back of the head to balance the load so that not all the weight is on the forehead. The battery's lightweight and durable carbon fiber surface is fully protected from water and dust according to the IP68 rating, so it is suitable for swimming! The battery is equipped with an ingenious charge indicator light, and it also has a handy "taillight", which increases safety even further.

When using the Carbon 12K battery, the headlamps automatically switch to the so-called Performance Mode, where the light output is higher and it drops more slowly than normal. This ensures maximum safety even when going at high speed. The battery can also be used as a backup power source if necessary, e.g. to charge a phone or headphones. The Carbon 12K offers up to 2.5 times the operating time for the NU45 headlamp and 2 times the operating time for the NU53 and HC65 UHE headlamps.

Quick Guide

To use: Place the battery in the included mount and attach the headlamp to the headband. Connect one end of the charging cable to the headlamp and the other end to the battery. Charging will begin automatically, and the headlamp will use the Carbon 12K battery as the primary power source.

Red taillight: The battery has two taillight modes. Press the power switch down for about 1 second to turn on the taillight. Tap the power switch briefly to switch between taillight modes. Press and hold the power switch down for about 1 second to turn off the taillight.

Charging: Connect one end of the included USB-C charging cable to the battery and the other end to a wall outlet, for example, using the separately purchased AC adapter. When charging is in progress, the battery indicator lights will change from flashing blue to solid blue one by one. When charging is complete, all indicator lights will be solid blue.

Use as a power bank: Connect one end of the charging cable to the USB-C port on the battery and the other end to the device you want to charge. Charging will start automatically when the cable is connected. If the battery charge is too low, it will stop charging automatically.

Battery Indicators: The battery has a total of 11 indicators that indicate the battery charge. Press the power switch briefly to activate the indicators to momentarily display them. The indicators indicate the battery charge as follows:

• 10 steady lights: Battery charge 90-100%
• 9 steady lights: Battery charge 80-90%
• 8 steady lights: Battery charge 70-80%
• 7 steady lights: Battery charge 60-70%
• 6 steady lights: Battery charge 50-60%
• 5 steady lights: Battery charge 40-50%
• 4 steady lights: Battery charge 30-40%
• 3 steady lights: Battery charge 20-30%
• 2 steady lights: Battery charge 10-20%
• 1 steady light: Battery charge 5-10%
• 1 flashing light: Battery level 0-5% (charge as soon as possible)
