The Petzl Swift RL is a high-performance, compact rechargeable headlamp designed specifically for demanding outdoor activities in the dark. The lamp weighs only 92 grams, yet it produces up to 1200 lumens of instantaneous maximum light output and a range of 168 meters, making it a first-class headlamp in terms of size-to-power ratio. The Swift RL's high-quality combination beam directs light widely, both in the immediate vicinity and far ahead, and its intelligent REACTIVE LIGHTING® technology always adjusts the light output according to the ambient light. In practice, this means that during daylight hours the lamp uses a low power mode, while in the darkness of the night it switches to a bright power mode. This feature not only frees the user from adjusting the light, but also saves battery power, allowing the operating time to be maximized. Of course, the lamp can also be operated completely manually if desired.

Swift RL is equipped with both white light and a separate red light. Red light is a useful feature in situations where you want to preserve your night vision as much as possible. It is also an excellent helper for, for example, night photography, map reading and stargazing. The lamp head can be tilted either up or down if desired, allowing the light to be directed in a direction away from your gaze if necessary. The headband supplied is ergonomically designed, made of flexible fabric and finished with reflective details, so you will not go unnoticed by motorists, no matter what the direction of travel.

The light is protected from splashing water according to the IPX4 rating, so you don't need to pack it in your backpack during a rain shower while hiking. Swift RL is powered by a rechargeable 2250 mAh li-ion battery, which currently offers up to a hundred hours of continuous operation. The battery can be charged from empty to full in about 5 hours using the USB-C output port on the side of the light.
