Flashlight Nitecore P27iX - 5000 lm / 143 mm / Rechargeable

Nitecore P27iX is an extremely powerful flashlight designed for professional, tactical and other demanding use. With a maximum output of 5000 lumens and a beam distance of up to 430 metres, it provides plenty of light over long distances. Three different beam patterns allow the light to be adapted to the situation: a focused beam for long-range visibility, a wide beam for illuminating large areas, and a mixed beam that combines both width and reach. The P27iX is an excellent choice for applications such as security, rescue work and search operations.

The P27iX supports two different grip styles. With the Duty Grip, the flashlight is mainly controlled using the SET button on the side, while the Tactical Grip provides quick one-handed access to key functions via the Tail and Engage buttons at the rear. Four standard output levels are available, along with the LUMIN SHIELD®, STROBE READY™, SEARCH and WARNING FLASH special modes. The button functions can also be customised so that a preferred output level or special mode can be activated directly with a single press. Indicator lights show the selected output level and remaining battery charge.

Nitecore P27iX provides up to 100 hours of runtime with the included 5500 mAh Li-ion battery. The battery is charged directly inside the flashlight through a USB-C port with up to 18 W fast charging. The flashlight can also be powered by CR123A and RCR123A batteries. A durable aluminium body, IP68 rating and two-metre impact resistance make the P27iX suitable for demanding conditions. Rapid Lock™ prevents accidental activation, while the strike bezel with ceramic tips can be used to break glass in an emergency. Five-year (60-month) warranty!

Operating modes

During normal use, the P27iX offers four output levels and three different beam patterns. Four special modes are also available.

Output levels

• LOW: A low 15-lumen output for close-range tasks and situations where only a small amount of light is needed. Provides the longest runtime of up to 100 hours.
• MID: An 80-lumen general-purpose output for illuminating nearby areas and for extended continuous use.
• HIGH: A powerful 400-lumen general-purpose mode suitable for moving around, working and inspecting the surroundings.
• TURBO: The highest continuous output level at 1500 lumens for situations where a large amount of light is needed quickly.

Beam patterns

• Wide beam (Floodlight): Spreads the light across a wide area and is particularly suitable for illuminating nearby surroundings, work areas and larger spaces.
• Mixed beam (Mixed Light): Combines a wide close-range beam with a focused long-range beam, allowing both the surrounding area and objects further ahead to be illuminated at the same time.
• Focused beam (Spotlight): Concentrates the light into a narrower, longer-reaching beam. Particularly suitable for inspecting distant objects and search operations.

• LUMIN SHIELD®: An extremely wide 5000-lumen light that quickly illuminates a large area. Ideal when the immediate surroundings need to be lit as brightly as possible without delay.
• SEARCH: A highly focused 2500-lumen long-range beam with a maximum reach of up to 430 metres. Designed for inspecting distant objects and search operations.
• WARNING FLASH: A flashing 1000-lumen warning light designed for attracting attention and use as a warning signal.
• STROBE READY™: A rapidly flashing 5000-lumen strobe light. The flash frequency varies randomly between 16–20 Hz, making the flashing pattern irregular and highly attention-grabbing.

Quick guide

The instructions below apply to the flashlight's factory settings.

• Locking the buttons: The Rapid Lock™ switch on the side of the flashlight prevents accidental button presses, for example when carried in a pocket or bag. Slide the switch upwards to lock the buttons and downwards to unlock them.
• Turning the light on normally: When the flashlight is off, press the SET button on the side once. The light turns on in LOW mode.
• Changing the brightness: When the light is on, briefly press the SET button. Each press cycles to the next output level: LOW → MID → HIGH → TURBO.
• Turning the light off: Fully press the Tail button at the rear of the flashlight.
• Quick access to MID: When the flashlight is off, half-press the Tail button. The light turns on directly in MID mode.
• Quick access to maximum normal output: When the flashlight is off, fully press the Tail button. The light turns on directly in TURBO mode.
• Momentary light: Hold the Tail button halfway down for MID output or fully down for TURBO output. The light turns off immediately when the button is released.
• Changing the beam pattern: When the light is on, press and hold the SET button. The flashlight cycles through the three beam patterns: focused → mixed → wide. Release the button when the desired beam pattern is active.

Using the special modes

• LUMIN SHIELD®: When the flashlight is off, hold the Engage button halfway down. The flashlight produces an extremely wide and powerful burst of light for as long as the button is held.
• STROBE: When the flashlight is off, fully press and hold the Engage button. The light begins flashing rapidly at full output. The strobe stops when the button is released.
• WARNING FLASH: When the flashlight is off, press and hold the SET button until the warning flash starts. Press the SET button again to turn the function off.
• SEARCH: SEARCH is a long-range search beam. It can be programmed to the Engage button in place of either LUMIN SHIELD® or STROBE. With the flashlight switched off, hold the desired Engage button press and press the SET button at the same time. The functions cycle in the following order: LUMIN SHIELD® → STROBE → SEARCH. Release both buttons when SEARCH is selected.

In short: The SET button is used for normal operation and changing the brightness, the Tail button provides quick access to MID or TURBO output, and the Engage button is used for special functions.
