Shelly Plug PM Gen3 is a compact Wi-Fi smart plug that enables accurate real-time monitoring of household electrical appliances' energy consumption. Supporting loads of up to 3680 W (16 A), the plug is suitable for measuring the energy consumption of refrigerators, freezers, heating appliances, and other electrical devices that operate continuously. The built-in energy meter allows energy consumption to be monitored and analyzed directly from a smartphone, while automatic notifications warn of potential overload situations. Unlike conventional smart plugs, the Plug PM Gen3 is designed exclusively for energy monitoring and does not feature a relay for switching connected devices on or off.
Shelly Plug PM Gen3 is set up by plugging it into a standard wall socket and connecting the electrical appliance to be monitored. The appliance's energy consumption can then be viewed through the Shelly Smart Control app, both in real time and over longer periods. Energy consumption history helps identify appliances that consume large amounts of electricity and estimate their operating costs. The app also allows users to configure notifications based on consumption thresholds, providing alerts when unusually high power consumption is detected. Since the plug does not interrupt the power supply, it is particularly suitable for appliances that need to remain running continuously.
The smart plug connects directly to the home Wi-Fi network without requiring a separate hub. In addition to Wi-Fi connectivity, the device supports Bluetooth and can also function as a Wi-Fi range extender and Bluetooth gateway for other compatible devices. A multicolor LED indicator visualizes energy consumption through different colors, and its brightness can be adjusted or the light can be turned off completely. Shelly Plug PM Gen3 also supports various home automation systems, allowing energy consumption data to be integrated into a broader smart home setup. Three-year (36-month) warranty!
