A beam-widening scratch shield designed for the Purelux 9 auxiliary light. In addition to providing durable protection against impacts from rocks and sand, for example, this cover significantly widens the light beam in the lateral direction. The cover widens the beam from the upper and lower LEDs but leaves the center LEDs unaffected. This preserves the light’s characteristic tight and extremely long-range spot, while providing a welcome boost of light to the shoulders and roadside areas.
