Shelly Pro 3EM Switch Add-on is a compact relay module designed to expand the functionality of Shelly Pro 3EM energy meters with electrical device control and automation. Equipped with a potential-free 2 A relay, the add-on module enables automatic control of heating appliances, water heaters, and other electrical devices using an external contactor. This allows electrical devices to be controlled based on energy consumption or surplus solar power, helping optimize energy usage and reduce unnecessary electricity consumption. The add-on module is compatible with Shelly Pro 3EM and Pro 3EM 3CT63 energy meters.

Shelly Pro 3EM Switch Add-on enables versatile automations based on electricity consumption. For example, high-power electrical devices can be automatically switched off when total consumption exceeds a set threshold, or a water heater can be activated when solar panels generate surplus electricity. The relay can also be controlled remotely through the Shelly Smart Control app via the connected energy meter. This allows electrical devices to be managed flexibly according to the energy needs of a home or property.

The compact Shelly Pro 3EM Switch Add-on is installed directly next to a compatible Shelly Pro 3EM energy meter on a DIN rail. The add-on module receives its operating power from the energy meter, eliminating the need for a separate power supply or network connection. The galvanically isolated relay enables the use of various control circuits, while LED indicators display the power supply and relay status.
