The green light does not protect night vision as well as the red, but provides more detail in the light. With the green light, it is easier to read the surroundings in nature. Green light is popular when hunting, for example, wild boar, as this and many other animals are not as sensitive to green light compared to white. Green light provides more useful light compared to red. The green light can also be used with equipment for, for example, night vision. It is also good for other types of navigation and for example map reading.
