Philips Hue Motion Sensor, Outdoor is a motion sensor for outdoor use that allows you to turn on Philips Hue smart lights with movement. The motion sensor is powered by two AA batteries (included) and can be easily installed pretty much anywhere, so the sensor turns on the lights every time it detects motion. The motion sensor makes it easier, especially when your hands are not free to turn on the light or when you come home in the dark. Through the Hue app, the operation of the motion sensor can be controlled in many ways, as it can be turned on, for example, to turn on the light at night with full effect and during the day with dimmer effect, making the user's experience comfortable. The sensor can be attached with a practical magnetic clamp or alternatively with a simple screw.
The smart lamps in the Philips Hue series are controlled with the Philips Hue application, which can be downloaded from the App Store or Google Play store. The lights are connected to the phone either via Bluetooth connection or Hue Bridge. Through the app you can e.g. turn the lights on and off, dim and increase the light for each room, define preset light settings and much more. The number of functions available in the Hue system is constantly increasing. The lamps can also be controlled with simple voice commands using Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant or Siri.
