According to the manufacturer, Night Breaker bulbs produce up to 1550 lumens of light output (per bulb), which is up to 330% more than the legal minimum requirements for traditional halogen bulbs. The tremendous light output combined with the cool 6000K color temperature produces significantly brighter lighting than halogen bulbs. Despite the high light output and bright lighting, the bulbs are designed to prevent glare for oncoming traffic: thanks to innovative technology and a precisely defined light pattern, the bulbs dazzle up to 50% less than the maximum permitted values . The cool and bright light of the bulbs maintains the driver's alertness, improves visibility, enhances the vehicle's appearance and at the same time improves the safety of other road users.

Quick guide

Step 1

Check the car model and headlight approval number. Go to Osram's compatibility list and make sure your model is listed.

Step 2

Locate the approval mark on the headlight: an E in a circle followed by one or two numbers and then a four or five digit code. Match the mark to the number in the list.

Step 3

Create, download and print your legal documents and place them in the vehicle. Scan the QR code on the OSRAM Trust sticker on your NIGHT BREAKER LED packaging or enter the seven-digit code in the OSRAM Trust app. Fill in the check, download and print the general type approval (ABG) – just print out the main part and the page in Appendix 1 where your relevant vehicle(s) is located. Keep the permit in the car.

The package also includes a sticker; attach it to the engine compartment or to the back of the headlight as a reminder that you are using approved LED bulbs, handy if you forget to show the documents during inspection.
